If you are traveling to Tuscany in early summer, you will often come across bales of straw scattered across the harvested fields. Together with the rolling hills and scattered clouds, they convey a feeling of vastness and gentle harmony. At least that's what I think when I come across scenes like this in the south of Tuscany.
